The Hirschberg is 535 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Spessart . It is located near Flörsbachtal in the Hessian Main-Kinzig district ( Germany ) and should not be confused with the Hirschberg in the Spessart near Rechtenbach .

The Hirschberg is located in the Hessischer Spessart Nature Park between the places Flörsbach , which is located in the northeast at the source and the upper reaches of the Flörsbach , and Kempfenbrunn , which is a little further downstream in the east-southeast, and Mosborn , which is located at the source of the Laubersbach , in the south. To the northwest of the mountain are the Wiesbüttmoor and the Wiesbüttsee . County road 889 runs over the western slope of the mountain .
To the west of the Hirschberg, the state border with Bavaria leads over the summit of the Erkelshöhe . Behind it lies the village of Wiesen in the district of Aschaffenburg at the source and on the upper reaches of the Aubach about 2.6 km west-southwest of the Hirschberg summit .
Natural allocation
The Hirschberg belongs in the natural spatial main unit group Odenwald, Spessart and Südrhön (No. 14) and in the main unit Sandstone-Spessart (141) to the sub-unit Southeastern Sandstone Spessart (141.3). To the north, the landscape leads over the source area of the Flörsbach into the subunit Northern Sandstone Spessart (141.5).
Protected areas
Immediately north-west of the Hirschberg lies the Wiesbüttmoor nature reserve ( CDDA no. 82910; designated 1982; 12.2 ha ). The fauna-flora-habitat area Wiesbüttmoor with adjacent forest areas (FFH No. 5822-301; 1.9629 km² ) is located on the north-west to south-facing slope .
