The VF 750 was a motorcycle from the Japanese manufacturer Honda.
Model history
The motorcycle was offered from 1983 to 1986. In the basic version, the engine developed 63 kW (86 hp ) at 9500 rpm . Excessive thermal stress on the engines of the first year of construction often led to breaks in the camshaft . However, Honda was soon able to solve this problem. The model series established the successful V4 tradition of Honda. The basis of the development was the Honda Magna or Supermagna : In addition to a modified chassis, the displacement increased by 50 cm³; the cylinder bank angle of the V-engine was 90 °. The VF were offered in a modular system with a uniform frame, cast wheels and brakes in three versions.
VF 750 S.
The S version Saber (Engl. Saber ) with the internal designation RC 07 was an all-rounder or Sports Tourer. Today it would be classified as a naked bike. It was the lightest model in the range.
VF 750 C
The C variant (CC / CD / CE - from Custom ) with the internal designation RC 09 was designed as a soft chopper. Salient features were chrome trim, a step bench with indicated Sissybar and species-typical rake and handlebars.
VF 750 F
The sports model with the name Interceptor (English for interceptor ), internally referred to as RC 15, was not only characterized by the chassis design, but also by the high peak output of 66 kW (90 PS).
