Hope for Haiti Now is a live album by various artists who contributed to the Hope for Haiti Now benefit campaign. This supported the victims of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti . All sales of the album and its songs go to Haiti charities, including the International Red Cross and Red Crescent and Wyclef Jean ’s Yele Haiti Foundation. Hope for Haiti Now has 19 live performances from the Hope for Haiti Now fundraising marathon : A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief , as well as the studio version of " Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour) " by Jay-Z , Bono , The Edge and Rihanna .

The album could already be pre-ordered on January 22, 2010 on iTunes before the charity marathon . It set a record for being the most pre-ordered album in one day in iTunes history. The album sold 171,000 copies in the first weekend and the first digital album, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 album charts in two days.

Commercial win

Hope for Haiti Now debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 , with 171,000 copies sold in the first two days alone. The album also reached number 1 on the charts in Austria , Canada and France .
