Hoshino (Fukuoka)

Location of Hoshino in Fukuoka Prefecture

Hoshino ( Japanese 星野 村 , - mura ) was a village in Yame County in Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan . On February 1, 2010, it merged with Kurogi , Tachibana and Yabe to form Yame Municipality .

It had 3,301 inhabitants on November 1, 2009. The area is 81.28 km², the population density about 41 people per km².
