Mizumaki ( Japanese 水 巻 町 ; - machi ) is a community in Onga County in Fukuoka Prefecture , Japan .

According to the statistics of October 1, 2019, the municipality of Mizumaki had 28,002 inhabitants. The area is 11.03 km² and the population density was about 2,618 people per km².

On the territory of the municipality there is a coal mine, in which prisoners of war had to work during the Second World War .

The city's official flower is ginkgo .
