Hannes M. Schalle

Hannes Michael Schalle (born March 9, 1963 in Villach -Warmbad, Austria) is an Austrian television producer , author , director and film composer . He is an elected member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences .

Live and act

After studying in Graz, Boston and Salzburg, he founded his first company together with Peter F. Doyle in 1989 after participating in the pilot project "Scientists found companies", Schalle Digital Productions , which has been operating as Aikon Media & Technology since 2002 . From 1998 to 2002 Schalle was managing director of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences . In 2005 he co-founded Alpha Filmtime Medienproduktionen , in 2006 he founded Moonlake Entertainment and in 2011 Aikon Creatives .

Since 1989 Schalle has composed the film music for around 70 television films and has worked in various functions for numerous film and media companies as well as for the major television stations in German-speaking countries. Since 2002 he has composed primarily for German-language television films.

The most successful productions were the four-part TV mini-series In Search Of Beethoven and the 9-part TV series Classics Cuts (3Sat). At the Salzburg Festival alone, Schalle recorded 500 hours of classic TV programs for TelePiu3 between 1996 and 1997.

In addition to the studio and TV work, live performances such as the Expo 2000 production Enter 4 Elements , the stage and TV direction for Sir Peter Ustinov -Memorial Human Waves (2004) or the main musical act for the ZDF- Wetten, dass ..? -Weihnachtssendung (1998), a version of Silent Night for the Vienna Boys' Choir , gospel singer Jo Ann Pickens and Lionel Richie worth mentioning. In 2006 he produced the 3D animation music video I am the Music Man for DJ Ötzi . In 2007 he conceived, composed and produced the application film for the 2014 Winter Olympics for the Austrian Olympic application for Candidate City Salzburg . In 2007 Schalle also created and produced the Salzburg Movies - Feel The Inspiration (director: Markus Blunder, Rüdiger Schrattenecker), the new audiovisual branding of the State of Salzburg, presented on blu-ray disc. The production won a Silver Award at the International Festival for Corporate AV Media FIMAC .

In 2007 Moonlake Entertainment commissioned the author Wolfgang Hohlbein with the novel Der Fluch , which will be published by Lübbe and will be filmed. In 2007, the Alpha Filmtime production Vom Ende der Eiszeit ( ARD ) received nominations for the German Television Prize in three categories ( German Television Prize ). Also in 2008, the Alpha Filmtime production Das Wunder von Loch Ness Sat.1 received nominations for the German Television Prize in two categories and won a prize for “Best Visual Effects”. In 2008, Schalle wrote the TV story Gerry Friedle: My life with DJ Ötzi and produced the film for ORF (director: Karl Kases ) with the participation of Franz Beckenbauer , Rainhard Fendrich and Florian Silbereisen . As a director, Schalle subsequently staged the music videos for his CD Hotel Engel , which was released by Universal Music in autumn 2008 .

In May, he also directed the shooting at the Dubai Autodrome for the F1-X teaser; The start of production of the Formula 1 project of the same name was in October 2008 with Jean Alesi as the host. Completion and publication of the 60 Years of Formula 1 project has been postponed indefinitely due to the financial difficulties of the Emirates Dubai.

In January 2009 Moonlake and the UFA subsidiary Phoenix Film decided to cooperate for three TV event films.
