IC 3409 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type S in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is 773 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 160,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 3392 , IC 3419 , IC 3422 , IC 3435 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
