IC 3435 is a spiral dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type Sa in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is an estimated 345 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 8,000 ly. The galaxy is listed under catalog number VCC 1304 as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster .
The galaxies IC 797 , IC 3419 , IC 3453 , IC 3462 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
