IC 3425 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 324 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 155,000 ly. The galaxy is listed as a member of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster under catalog number VCC 1243 .
The galaxies NGC 4482 , IC 3383 , IC 3412 , IC 3447 are in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 10, 1904 .
