IC 3419 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 57 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about> 10,000 ly. The galaxy is listed under catalog number VCC 1222 as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster .
The galaxies IC 3392 , IC 3409 , IC 3422 , IC 3435 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
