IC 3494 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is an estimated 325 million light years from the Milky Way and is 20,000 light years across.
The galaxies IC 3460 , IC 3482 , IC 3515 , IC 3516 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 23, 1903 .
