IC 3488 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type S with an active galaxy core in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is an estimated 325 million light years from the Milky Way and is 75,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 3498 , IC 3502 , IC 3508 .
The object was discovered on March 23, 1903 by the German astronomer Max Wolf .
