IC 4958 is a spiral dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 173 million light years from the Milky Way and about 15,000 light years in diameter.

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on September 21, 1900 .
