IC 4960 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 150 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter. In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6872 , IC 4967 , IC 4970 , IC 4971 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on September 21, 1900 .
