IC 5301 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Indians in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 176 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on August 29, 1900 .
