IC 5298 is an active galaxy with a high rate of star formation of the Hubble type S? in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 376 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 75,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 7548 , IC 5293 , IC 5295 , IC 5296 .
