IC 5286 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Indians in the southern sky . It is an estimated 385 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 5288 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on August 29, 1900 .
