IC 5314 is a compact Galaxy from the Hubble type C with active galaxies core in Pegasus at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 501 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7571 , NGC 7598 , NGC 7602 , IC 5312 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 3, 1896 .
