Ilsat Toglokowitsch Akhmetov ( Russian Ильзат Тоглокович Ахметов ; Kyrgyz Илзат Тоглокович Ахметов , English Ilzat Toglokovich Akhmetov ; * 31 December 1997 in Bishkek , Kyrgyzstan ) is a Russian footballer of Uighur descent. The midfielder has been playing for the first division club CSKA Moscow since the 2018/19 season and has been the Russian national player since March 2019 .

Career

society

Akhmetov was in Kyrgyzstan , the son of Uighur born parents and began playing football in his hometown at Alga Bishkek . At the age of eleven, he moved with his family to Russia , where he played at the Konopljow Football Academy in Tolyatti . In 2013 he moved to Rubin Kazan's youth department . On July 18, 2014 he made his debut for the reserve team Rubin-2 Kazan in the 5-0 away defeat against FC Syzran-2003 . He made his debut in the first team on September 24th in the 2-0 cup win against Lutsch-Energija Vladivostok . He made his league debut on October 20 in a 5-0 home win against Mordowija Saransk . In his first season 2014/15 he came to nine league appearances. In the following years he was only used sporadically for the professional team. After Rubin Kazan converted into a private company in spring 2018, all the players and officials in the team had to sign new contracts. Akhmetov turned down a contract offer and remained under contract until the end of the 2017/18 season , but was without a play permit from April and was also suspended by the club.

On July 26, 2018, Ilsat Akhmetov moved to league rivals CSKA Moscow on a free transfer , where he signed a four-year contract. He made his league debut on July 31 in a 0-0 draw against Krylya Sovetov Samara , when he came on for Fyodor Chalov in the closing stages of the game . At the capital club, he immediately rose to become a regular player in his first 2018/19 season. He was used in 26 of 30 league games. On September 1, 2019 (8th matchday), he scored his first goal in the jersey of the capital city in a 2-1 away win against Arsenal Tula .

National team

Ilsat Akhmetov represented Russia in various junior selections. On March 21, 2019, he made his debut in the Russian senior team in a 3-1 away defeat in the qualifying game for the 2020 European Championship against Belgium .
