Arnór Sigurðsson (born May 15, 1999 in Akranes ) is an Icelandic football player who has been under contract with the Russian first division club PFK CSKA Moscow since summer 2018 . The attacking midfielder has also been an Icelandic international since November 2018 .

Arnór Sigurðsson comes from the youth work of his home club ÍA Akranes , for which he made his debut in the Pepsideild on October 3, 2015 in the 2-1 away win against ÍBV Vestmannaeyja at the age of 16 years, 4 months and 18 days . In the following season of 2016 he came to another six short assignments.

In March 2017, his move to the Swedish first division club IFK Norrköping was announced. He made his first-team debut on September 15, 2017 (23rd matchday) in a 1-1 draw against Kalmar FF . He finished the 2017 season with eight league appearances. In the following season, 2018 , he was used in almost all league games until the end of August 2018, in which he scored three goals and prepared as many.

On August 31, 2018, Arnór Sigurðsson moved to the Russian Premjer League , where he signed a five-year contract with the capital club PFK ZSKA Moscow . The transfer fee for the offensive player was 40 million kroner (around 4 million euros), which was a new record transfer fee for Norrköpings. He made his debut on 19 September in the group stage of the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League in a 2-2 draw with Viktoria Plzen . He scored his first goal again in the Champions League game against AS Roma on November 7th. He scored five times in 21 league games this 2018/19 season .

National team

Arnór Sigurðsson represented his home country in various junior national teams.

He made his debut in the Icelandic A-selection on November 15, 2018 in the group game of the 2018/19 UEFA Nations League against Belgium . He scored his first international goal on October 14, 2019 in a 2-0 home win against Andorra in qualifying for the 2020 European Championship .
