Viktar Michajlawitsch Hantscharenka ( Belarusian Віктар Міхайлавіч Ганчарэнка even Viktor Mikhailovich Goncharenko ( Russian Виктор Михайлович Гончаренко , English transcription Viktor Goncharenko ); * 10. June 1977 in Chojniki , Gomel Region , Byelorussian SSR ) is a former football player and current coach of Belarus . Since December 2016 he has been the head coach of the PFK CSKA Moscow in the Russian Premier League .
Player career
The defender moved in 1998 from RUOR Minsk to FK BATE Baryssau in the top Belarusian league . With BATE he was twice Belarusian champion (1999 and 2002), twice runner-up (1998 and 2000) and took third place (2001) in five years. After tearing a cruciate ligament in his left knee, he ended his active career in 2002.
Coaching career
After Goncharenko had completed training as a coach, he returned to BATE Baryssau in 2004 as a reserve coach. In the 2007 season he was assistant coach of the first team and on November 13 of the same year, when the team was already established as champions, their head coach.
In the seasons 2008 to 2012 he won five Belarusian championship titles in a row with BATE, and in 2010 he also won the Belarusian Cup . In the 2008/09 Champions League , the club was the first Belarusian team to qualify for the group stage under his leadership. When they lost 2-0 in the opening game at Real Madrid on September 17, 2008, at the age of 31 years and three months, he was the youngest coach ever to coach a team in a Champions League group game. The qualification for the Champions League could be repeated in 2011 and 2012 . In the Europa League , Hantscharenka reached the group stage with BATE in 2009/10 and 2010/11 , and in 2010/11 also qualified for the round of 32. In 2008 and 2009 Goncharenko was named the best coach in Belarus.
In October 2013 Wiktar Hantscharenka moved to Russia for FK Kuban Krasnodar .
