The In der Burwies nature reserve is the smallest nature reserve in the Ahrweiler district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The 1.9 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1983 , extends south of the local community of Weibern , directly on the state road L 83 , which passes on the southern edge. The Weiberner Bach flows through the area.
The protection purpose is the preservation of the wet meadow with its pools and shallow water zones as a habitat for rare birds and amphibians that are threatened with their populations .
