The Nürburg nature reserve is located in the Ahrweiler district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The (about) 10 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1960 , extends on the northern edge of the local community of Nürburg around Nürburg Castle . The Nürburgring is south. The state road L 93 and the B 258 run to the east, the B 257 runs to the west .
