Irmgarteichen is a district of Netphen in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia with 825 inhabitants (December 31, 2014).

Geographical location
Irmgarteichen has an area of 2.5 km². The development is at a height between 380 and 440 m above sea level. NHN , while the highest mountain in the district, the Pfarrbergskopf a height of 512.8 m above sea level. Reached NHN . The Geiersgrundbach flows through the village and joins the Werthenbach a little further north . The Seifenbach flows into the village .

history
On August 30, 1270 Irmgarteichen was first mentioned in a document as "Irmengartechen". In the past, the Irmgarteichen community was of great (ecclesiastical) importance, the parish was dependent on Netphen until 1349 and, according to records, appeared to have equal rights from then on. In 1725 a new one was built on the site of the old church .
On January 1, 1969, the office of Netphen was dissolved and the place was incorporated into the new large municipality of Netphen in the course of the municipal reorganization , since 2000 Irmgarteichen has been a district.
In April 2008 the listed building of the “Ley” inn burned down, but was rebuilt true to the original.

The place is connected to the Autobahn 45 via Wilnsdorf. In the area between Irmgarteichen, Helgersdorf and Werthenbach the line of the Kleinbahn Weidenau – Deuz ended , a train station is in Helgersdorf. The building of the terminus in Werthenbach still exists and is privately owned. The bus traffic was taken over by VWS .
Social and public institutions
Social and public facilities in the village include a youth home, a rifle house, a barbecue hut, a football field, three children's playgrounds and a cemetery. There is a public library in the parish.
Events
Irmgarteichen is regionally known for the "small animal, farmers, eco and junk market" that takes place four times a year. This is a mixture of a flea market and a small animal market, which also has food stalls and market stalls from commercial traders.
The "Drette Krestach" has been held annually since 1950. The bachelors gather on December 27th, go through town and tell village stories.
In addition, there is an "Oldie Night" (since 1998), an Easter fire and a Christmas market in Irmgarteichen every year .
