The office Netphen was an office in the district of Siegen in North Rhine-Westphalia . It administered until December 31, 1968 an area with 29 independent municipalities .

history

The administrative seat was in Niedernetphen. Between 1806 and 1815 there was the "Canton Netphen" in the Grand Duchy of Berg , and the "Mayor of Netphen" was created under Prussian administration. In 1844 this was renamed "Amt Netphen".

In 1966, Breitenbach was incorporated into Siegen and Nieder- and Obersetzen to the new town of Hüttental . On January 1, 1969, the office was dissolved and a large part of the communities was incorporated into the new large community of Netphen . The places Anzhausen , Flammersbach , Gernsdorf and Rudersdorf went to the municipality of Wilnsdorf and Feuersbach an Siegen .
