Isabella Crettenand-Moretti (* 26. August 1963 as Isabella Moretti ) is a Swiss ski mountaineer and former long-distance and mountain runner . Her twin sister Cristina Favre-Moretti is also a successful ski mountaineer. Crettenand-Moretti lives in Sion .

Athletic career

In 1989 she won the Giro Media Blenio , and at the European Athletics Championships in 1990 she came in 17th place over 10,000 m . In 1990 and 1991 she won the Murtenlauf . At the road running women 's world championship in 1991 she finished 23rd place, at the half marathon world championships in 1992 in South Shields, 55th place. She took part in the Cross Country World Championships seven times, with a 51st place in 1988 in Auckland as the best place.

In 1995 and 1996 she won the Matterhorn Run , in 1996 the Jungfrau Marathon , and in 1997 she came third at the European Mountain Running Championships.

She was Swiss champion over 10,000 m six times (1989-1994), twice in the half marathon (1993, 1994), once in cross-country running (1991) and three times in mountain running (1994-1996).

In 2004 she became world champion in ski mountaineering in the relay, vice world champion in the vertical race and in the team classification and third in the individual race.
