The Icelandic Women's Football Championship 1983 ( Icelandic 1. deild kvenna ) was the twelfth edition of the highest Icelandic division in women's football . It started on May 26, 1983 and ended on September 8, 1983. Six teams met in a double round tournament . Breiðablik Kópavogur won the Icelandic championship for the fifth time in a row and for the sixth time overall.
