The Icelandic women's football championship in 1989 ( Icelandic 1. deild kvenna ) was the 18th edition of the highest Icelandic division in women's football . It started on May 27, 1989 and ended on August 29, 1989. Seven teams met in a double round tournament . The defending champion Valur Reykjavík won the Icelandic championship for the fourth time.
