The Icelandic Women's Football Championship in 1988 ( Icelandic 1. deild kvenna ) was the 17th edition of the highest Icelandic division in women's football . It started on May 28, 1988 and ended on September 4, 1988. Eight teams met in a double round tournament . Valur Reykjavík won the Icelandic Championship for the third time.
