Ivan Slišković

Ivan Slišković (born October 23, 1991 in Split ) is a Croatian handball player . The 1.97 m tall and 98 kg heavy right-hander is mostly used on the left in the back area.

Slišković made his debut in the Croatian Premijer Liga at RK Nexe Našice . He was runner-up in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. With Našice he also reached the round of 16 in the EHF Cup 2011/12 and the second round in 2012/13. From 2013 he played for the Slovenian club Celje Pivovarna Lasko and won the championship and the cup competition in 2014 and 2015. In the EHF Champions League 2013/14 he reached the round of 16. Since summer 2015 he has been under contract with the Hungarian record champions Telekom Veszprém . With Veszprém, he won both the Hungarian Championship and the Hungarian Cup in 2016. After the 2016 Olympics, he contracted Pfeiffer glandular fever. After a 15-month break, he signed a contract with RK Celje in November 2017. With Celje he won the Slovenian Championship and the Slovenian Cup in 2018. In the summer of 2018 he moved to the German first division club Frisch Auf Göppingen . From the 2020/21 season he will be under contract with the Portuguese club FC Porto .

With the Croatian national team , Slišković took part in the 2014 European Championship and finished fourth. He scored ten times in four missions. At the 2013 Mediterranean Games, he lost to Egypt in the final. He also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . So far, he has played 54 international matches in which he scored 128 goals. (As of August 19, 2016)
