Iwan Sergejewitsch Obljakow ( Russian Иван Сергеевич Обляков ; English transcription: Ivan Sergeyevich Oblyakov ; born July 5, 1998 in Wyndin Ostrow ) is a Russian football player . The midfielder has been playing for the first division club CSKA Moscow since the 2018/19 season .

Career

society

Obljakow joined the youth department of the top club Zenit St. Petersburg in 2007 and played in various junior teams. On June 28, 2016, he moved to FK Ufa , where he saw better chances of playing time in the top Russian division . He made his league debut on July 31, 2016 (1st matchday) in the 0-2 away defeat against Ural Yekaterinburg . Under the coach Wiktar Hantscharenka he quickly penetrated the team rotation and under his successor Sergei Semak he got regular working hours. On April 9, 2017 (22nd matchday), he scored the first goal of his professional career in a 3-1 home defeat against Spartak Moscow . In this 2016/17 season he was used in 20 out of 30 possible games. The final breakthrough as an undisputed regular player in midfield of FC Ufa did not succeed in the following season 2017/18 . He was used in 20 league games mainly as a substitute, but still scored two goals.

After Obljakow had already played five league games for Ufa in the next 2018/19 season and had unsuccessfully participated in qualifying for the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League with the club , he switched to league rivals CSKA Moscow on August 31, 2018 . He was awarded a five-year contract with the runner-up, who transferred a transfer fee of 4 million euros to FK Ufa for his services. The very next day he played for the Koni for the first time in a 4-0 home win against Ural Yekaterinburg . At his new club he established himself as a regular player immediately after his arrival. On April 13, 2019, he scored his first goal of the season in the 3-2 home defeat against FK Orenburg . In the second half of the season he scored nine points (3 goals and 6 assists) in 14 league games and thus helped his club to reach fourth place in the table, which enables ZSKA to participate directly in the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League .

National team

Obljakow represented his home country in the U18 and U19 age groups before he played for the U21 team for the first time in March 2017 . There he was subsequently used in friendly matches and qualifying for the U21 European Championship 2017 , in which he was mainly able to distinguish himself through assists. In qualifying, he prepared nine goals in eight games and also scored twice himself.
