Jörg Hauschild

Jörg Hauschild (* 1967 in Gera ) is a German film editor and composer .

Life

Hauschild began his studies at the HFF Potsdam in 1989, after which he founded a company with some of his fellow students in 1993 that specialized in film editing . He stayed there for a year and since 1994 Hauschild has worked as a freelance composer and film editor. Since then he has been involved in several of Andreas Dresen's projects and is mainly known for his films, for which he edited.

Once in the town hall Gera he worked until 1989 as an engineer before his studies in 1987, took over Hauschild later both Hitsch and in Willenbrock and several theater productions to the composer's part. You can now see and hear his musical side in his solo project "HAVSCHILD".

In 2011 he worked as an editor with the director Alexander Sokurow, on his feature film - Faust-. The film was awarded the Golden Lion at the 2011 Venice International Film Festival. In 2012, he was nominated for the German Film Prize in the Best Editing category for his renewed collaboration with Andreas Dresen at Halt auf Freilasse . For as we dreamed it was in 2015 nominated for the German Film Prize . In 2019 Hauschild received the third nomination for the German Film Award for his work on the feature film Gundermann .
