Jürgen Heimüller
Jürgen Heimüller (* 1967 in Nuremberg ) is a German actor , musician and filmmaker .
life and work
He grew up as the youngest of four children in Franconian Switzerland . At the age of six he began to teach himself to play the piano by himself , later adding guitar, drums and singing. In his youth he played in various bands, including the Nuremberg art rock group Kaminsky united .
After his civil service and a broken off German studies course, he got by with various odd jobs, from 1999 he devoted himself to acting; his first theater engagements followed in 2004 with the ZAV exam and admission to the ZAV as an actor.
Musically he concentrated for a long time on cabaret and theater music . In 2010 he accompanied Georg Schmiedleitner's production of Platonov at the Nuremberg State Theater for three hours non-stop on the electric guitar. Among other things, he wrote film music for the short film "Pix" by Sophie Linnenbaum , which premiered at the Max Ophüls Festival in 2017 and was awarded the German Short Film Prize in autumn of the same year .
Between 2015 and 2019 he wrote and spoke 17 episodes of "Allmächt, der Deckenkobold" for the radio series Betthupferl of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation .
In 2016 he starred in the lead role of Morton in the theater film adaptation of Kora , directed by Swiss director Urs Odermatt .
He has also been writing and making his own films since 2016. His short film " The Last Five Minutes of the World ", in which he also played, won the German Short Film Award 2019 , among others .
He currently also plays with the acoustic Balkan formation Metropolski Cirkus Orkestar cajón , vocals and accordion.
Jürgen Heimüller lives in Berlin and Nuremberg.
