Scott Michael Campbell (born August 14, 1971 in Missoula , Montana ) is an American actor , film director , screenwriter and film producer .

life and career

In 1991, Montana-born Campbell graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena , California , and then began his career in Hollywood with minor television roles. In 1996 he took on the role of paramedic Riley Brown in seven episodes of the series Emergency Room . Campbell was able to establish himself on American television with a variety of guest roles, in which he often played characters with a serious demeanor, agents or police officers several times. From 2015 to 2018 he played the character of the priest Sam Walker in the series Suits and since 2016 he has been in a supporting role as a mechanicBrad on Shameless .

In 1994, Campbell made his big screen debut with a supporting role in the George Lucas- produced mystery comedy Radioland Murders . He played his best-known cinema roles in the 2000s in the remake of The Flight of the Phoenix (2004), as the second husband of Michelle Williams ' character in the Oscar-winning drama Brokeback Mountain (2005) and in the role of an agent in the thriller Push (2009) with Chris Evans . To date, Campbell has participated in around 120 film and television productions.

Since the late 2000s, Campbell has worked behind the camera as director, screenwriter and producer on several independent productions. His short film Shooting for Tomorrow won the 2011 Los Angeles Film Festival award in the Best Short Film category .
