Jürgen Milewski (born October 19, 1957 in Hanover ) is a former German soccer player .

Career as a footballer

The little striker played in the Bundesliga for Hannover 96 , Hertha BSC and Hamburger SV . He was also able to celebrate his greatest successes in football with the hamburgers. He was German champion with HSV in 1982 and 1983 and winner of the European Cup in 1983 .

For the German national soccer team he was in action three times between 1981 and 1984. He also played six times for the German B national team and once for the U-21 team .

His colleagues jokingly called him “The Glass” because Milewski recently suffered from various injuries. The hardest thing for him was a chronic Achilles tendonitis , which caused his regular place to be lost and he was transferred to France in 1985. There he played until 1986 at AS Saint-Étienne and came to five league appearances in which he scored two goals. Furthermore, he was in a meeting of the B team of the club in action. At the end of the season he returned to Germany after he had been out with an injury in March 1986, ailing and free of charge. There he played among other things in the 1988/89 season with the amateurs in the Association League Hamburg and then ended his active career.

Career as a player agent

Milewski found his entry into the profession of player adviser while still active in St. Etienne, and his first customer was, so to speak, himself. Milewski saw through St. Etienne's game of inducing him through small bullying actions on his own initiative to ask for the release from his current contract. With an ingenious move, he turned the situation around to his advantage, hiring the President's best friend, a well-known real estate agent , to look for a house on the pretext of permanent residence in St. Etienne. As expected, the President received this information and wanted to prevent Milewski from "serving" his time in St. Etienne. He therefore offered him a termination agreement with a handsome severance payment . The coup was successful because Milewski not only benefited financially, but was also free of transfer.

After several years of self-employment , he is now employed by the US marketer IMG . His clientele includes the players Hasan Salihamidžić , Gerald Asamoah , Francisco Copado , Robert Kovač , Niko Kovač , Stefan Wessels and Alex Meier . He also looked after the no longer active Jens Jeremies , Sven Kmetsch , Jörg Böhme , Karsten Bäron and Bernd Hollerbach . He currently looks after 21 players (including ex-professionals, amateur and youth players).

In 2004 the Hamburg public prosecutor's office investigated Milewski and the players Jens Jeremies, Hasan Salihamidžić, Thomas Linke and Jörg Albertz for unauthorized insider trading . In December 2003, the aforementioned bought shares in the SinnerSchrader company in several tranches before the share price skyrocketed after the announcement of a special dividend and brought the buyers profits of around 80 percent. This caught the eye of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority , which then turned the public prosecutor on. In 2005, the investigation against Milewski was discontinued for a sum of 7,000 euros.
