Jack Paul Hunt (born December 6, 1990 in Rothwell ) is an English football player who has been under contract with the second division Bristol City since 2018 .
Career
Huddersfield Town
At the beginning of the 2010/11 season, 19-year-old Jack Hunt was loaned from Huddersfield Town to fourth division club Chesterfield . On August 7, 2010, he made his professional debut in a 2-1 home win for his new team over FC Barnet . By the end of his loan in January 2011, he played 20 league games for Chesterfield. Shortly after his return to Huddersfield , Hunt, who had been active in the youth academy since he was nine, was used for the first time for the club's first team. In the 0-0 draw in the home stadium against Colchester United , the 20-year-old talent came on in the 85th minute. In the following weeks he established himself as a regular player and moved into the play-offs with his team as fourth in the Football League One 2010/11 . After a first-round win over AFC Bournemouth , Huddersfield clearly failed in the final with 0: 3 to Peterborough United . In the 2011/12 season , regular Jack Hunt (43 league games / 1 goal) and his team moved into the play-off final again and prevailed against Sheffield United on penalties . Hunt was voted third division PFA Team of the Year at the end of the season . The climber managed to stay in the 2012/13 Football League Championship before Hunt left his home club in the summer of 2013.
Crystal Palace
At the beginning of the 2013/14 season he moved to the Premier League promoted Crystal Palace and signed a four-year contract. Even before his first assignment for the club from London, he suffered an injury in training that kept him away from the game for months. In order to give him match practice after his injury, Palace loaned him to the second division FC Barnsley in January 2014 until the end of the season .
On July 22, 2014, Hunt moved to Nottingham Forest on loan .
