Zachary "Zak" George Onyego Vyner (born May 14, 1997 in Bath ) is an English football player who is under contract with Bristol City .

Career

Zak Vyner was born in Bath, about 20 km from Bristol . Until 2016 he played in the youth teams of Bristol City . On February 20, 2016, he made his debut in the club's first team in the second division game against Milton Keynes Dons . Vyner was in the starting line-up of coach Lee Johnson in the 2-0 away win . By the end of the 2015/16 season he came to three more appearances in the 2nd division.

From September 2016 to January 2017, the defensive player was loaned to the English fourth division club Accrington Stanley . After 16 missions with the Stans, he came back to Bristol. After further appearances in the jersey of Bristol, Vyner was awarded again in January 2018. For half a year he was on loan at third division Plymouth Argyle under contract. Here he was able to score his first professional goal in a game against Shrewsbury Town on February 10, 2018 , which also marked the 2-1 victory.

In the 2018/19 season he was loaned to the second division club Rotherham United . For the newcomer to the league, who was relegated again at the end of the season, he played 31 league games.

In August 2019, a loan to Scotland to Aberdeen FC followed .
