history

In 1944 the type flew for the first time under the designation Jak-14 . Shortly afterwards, a cargo ship from Yakovlev received this abbreviation, so the machine was renamed. A parallel construction was the Jak-13 , which appeared in the same year .

The first flight tests did not meet the expectations of the aircraft, which is why some changes were made. In June 1945 the tests were finally completed and the model went into series production with the 145 HP M-11FM engine . The top speed was 200 km / h.

As a further development, the Jakowlew Jak-12, built in large series in several variants, appeared .
