The Yakovlev Yak-30 ( Russian Яковлев Як-30 ) was a single beam , Soviet fighter plane for the front region close to the year 1948. For the benefit of which is already in production MiG-15 was not incorporated this pattern into mass production.

history

This pattern was developed as a further development of the Jak-25 . During the construction , the experiences made with the La-160 , the first Soviet swept wing fighter, were taken into account .
Entire assemblies, such as the tail unit , the pressurized cabin, the nose wheel and the armament were taken over from the Jak-25 . Only the fuselage had to be extended by 30 centimeters due to the sweep of the wings. Sergei Anochin carried out the flight tests from September 4 to 16, 1948, which showed that the Yak-30's performance at speeds close to the ground was below that of the Yak-25, but the Yak-30 at high altitude thanks to its 35 ° arrow wing was up to 60 km / h faster than its predecessor.
An improved version called Jak-30D appeared in early 1949 and differed mainly in the aerodynamically refined transitions from the wing to the fuselage and improved landing gear covers. The air brakes on both sides of the rear were also new. This version achieved a top speed of 1025 km / h and a range increased to 1950 kilometers .
The Jak-30 was designed as a middle-decker in all-metal construction, the cantilever wings like that of the MiG-15 each had two boundary layer fences . The fuel tanks held 830 liters of kerosene, and two additional tanks could be attached under the wings , increasing the range by 500 kilometers. The cantilevered normal tail was also swept. The nose wheel and the main landing gear drove into the fuselage, with the struts of the main landing gear resting in the wings.
As a further development, the Jak-50 appeared in 1949 .

The designation Jakowlew Jak-30 also bears a jet trainer from 1960, see Jakowlew Jak-30 .
