James Michael Calderaro (born June 5, 1965 on Long Island , New York ) is a professional American poker player .

Personal

Calderaro grew up on Long Island . He worked in the automotive industry and later moved to the Florida Gulf Coast . There he worked as a bartender and waiter and opened his own club in Clearwater . Calderaro is dating the poker player Lily Kiletto and is a father of three. He lives in Englewood , Florida, USA.

Poker career

Calderaro has been participating in renowned live tournaments since 2006 .

In mid-April 2008, Calderaro made it into the money at the World Poker Tour (WPT) main event at the Hotel Bellagio in Las Vegas, and for his 20th place received prize money of more than 100,000 US dollars . At the beginning of July 2009 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and reached the eighth day of the tournament at the main event . There he was eliminated with 13 remaining players and secured prize money of over $ 630,000. In the 2010 WSOP Calderaro was the championship event of the variant Pot Limit Hold'em third party for nearly 300,000 dollars. In early May 2012, he sat at the final table of the WPT Main Event in Orange Park and finished in second place, which was paid around $ 235,000. In February 2014, Calderaro won the WPT Main Event in Coconut Creek and received a prize of over 270,000 dollars. In late March 2014, he made the final table at the WPT Main Event again, finishing second in Jacksonville for more than $ 130,000. At the 2017 WSOP , Calderaro won the $ 25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller and secured a bracelet and a prize of almost $ 1.3 million. The following year he reached the final table again at the same event and took fourth place for around $ 415,000 in prize money.

In total, Calderaro has earned more than $ 4.5 million playing poker in live tournaments.
