Jan Kůrka (born May 29, 1943 in Pelhřimov ) is a former Czechoslovak sport shooter .
successes
Jan Kůrka participated in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City in three competitions with the rifle. In the three-position fight with the free rifle at 300 m, he finished twelfth in 1133 points. In the three-position fight with the small bore rifle at 50 m, he scored 1136 points and finished the competition in 29th place. With 598 points, Kůrka set a new world record with the small bore rifle at 50 m in the prone position and was thus Olympic champion ahead of László Hammerl and Ian Ballinger .
