Jardim Botânico , officially Portuguese Região Administrativa do Jardim Botânico , is the administrative region RA XXVII in the Brazilian federal district and 15 km from the center of Brasília . The administrative region borders on São Sebastião in the southeast , Lago Sul in the west and Paranoá in the north .

Jardim Botânico became an independent administrative region on August 31, 2004 by the law "Lei 3.435".

The name is derived from the Botanical Garden in Brasília, around which several residential complexes are grouped. For 2011 a population of 22,726 people was given.
