Jay Harrington

Jay Harrington (* 15. November 1971 in Wellesley , Massachusetts , United States as James H. Harrington III ) is an American actor . He is known for his role in the ABC - sitcom Better Off Ted - The Chaos AG .

Early life

Harrington grew up in Wellesley. He went to Wellesley High School and then studied theater at Syracuse University .

Career

Harrington played Dr. Simon O'Keefe on the WB drama series Summerland Beach , FBI Special Agent Paul Ryan on the FOX series The Inside, and Steve on the NBC version of Coupling . He often appeared in the police drama series Lady Cops . He has also had roles in television series such as The Shield - Law of Violence , New York Life - At Last In Life! , Private Practice and Burn Notice .

In 2006 Harrington appeared as Dr. Ron McCready on the Desperate Housewives series . He played Ted Crisp in the comedy series Better Off Ted - Die Chaos AG from March 2009 to January 2010. He had a major role in the fourth season of the TV country comedy series Hot in Cleveland . In 2014 he starred in the USA network comedy series Benched .

Harrington has appeared in films such as American Pie: The Reunion (where his role was called "Dr. Ron", as in Desperate Housewives), Hopelessly In Love, and Anywhere But Here . He also appeared on stage as Jack in Boy's Life and appeared in the off-Broadway productions Barefoot in the Park and Tony and Tina's Wedding .
