Jean-François Deniau

Jean-François Deniau (born October 31, 1928 in Paris ; † January 24, 2007 there ) was a French politician of the UDF , diplomat and writer. In 1992 he was elected a member of the Académie française .

Life

He wrote the preface to the Treaty establishing the European Community . From 1967 to 1972 he was a member of the EC Commission as Commissioner for External Relations .

In the European elections in 1984 , he was in the European Parliament elected.
