James Quinn ; called "Jimmy Quinn" (born November 23, 1947 in Croy , † April 25, 2002 in Kilsyth ) was a Scottish football player . With Celtic Glasgow he won the Scottish Championship six times, the Scottish Cup and League Cup four times in the late 1960s and 1970s . His grandfather Jimmy Quinn, who played for Celtic in the early 20th century , is a legendary striker.

Jimmy Quinn was born in Croy , North Lanarkshire in 1947 . He began his career at Holy Cross Croy Boys Guild and Maryhill Harp . He joined Celtic Glasgow in November 1963 . He made his professional debut at the age of 20 on January 2, 1968 against the Glasgow Rangers at the Old Firm . In the further course of the season he played in another game against FC Kilmarnock in which his first goal as a full-back scored. Quinn could not fight for a regular place in the following years and only came to missions sporadically. In the 1971/72 and 1972/73 seasons he was used nine times. In the 1968/69 season Quinn was awarded to the league rivals FC Clyde . In December 1974 he moved to England for second division Sheffield Wednesday .
