Johann-Peter-Hebel-Medal

The Johann-Peter-Hebel-Medal was a prize for authors and other multipliers of the Alemannic dialect, especially from the Hegau in the south of Baden-Württemberg . It is named after the Alemannic dialect poet Johann Peter Hebel .

The medal has been awarded annually since 1991 by the Hegau group of the Muettersproch Society . The winners are "personalities who have made a special contribution to the Alemannic dialect". The winners come from Hegau and other areas of the Alemannic dialect. The award ceremony traditionally took place on Christmas Day in the GEMS cultural center in Singen .
