John Karayiannis ( Greek : Γιάννης Καραγιάννης / Giannis Karagiannis ; * 1994 in Limassol ) is a Cypriot singer and songwriter . He represented Cyprus at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna , Austria .

Life

He became interested in music at the age of six, and two years later Karayiannis began taking singing lessons. He also won several local music competitions in Cyprus.

On February 1, 2015, in front of five competitors, after various preliminary rounds and semifinals, he won the Cypriot preliminary decision for the ESC 2015 called Eurovision Song Project with his song One Thing I Should Have Done ( German: One thing I should have done). The title was composed by himself and Mike Connaris. Connaris was already responsible for the Cypriot contribution from 2004, which was able to reach fifth place at the time. He reached the final of the 2015 contest, where he finished 22nd.
