Stavros Sideras

Stavros Sideras , Greek Σταύρος Σιδεράς (* 1948 ) is a Cypriot musician , composer and director .

Life

His musical career began in 1976 as a pop singer and composer. Together with the singer Constandina, he was selected to represent Cyprus at the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest . With their self-composed pop song I agapi akoma zi , the duo landed in 16th place.

With the rock opera The Archon began his career as a writer and director of musicals and music shows in 1979. His productions have now been performed in various countries, including the USA, Greece and South Africa.

In the mid-1990s he interviewed personalities from political life on his program Persona non Grata on the Cypriot private broadcaster Sigma TV .
