Despina Olympiou
Despina Olympiou ( Greek : Δέσποινα Ολυμπίου; born October 17, 1975 in Limassol ) is a Cypriot singer .
life and career
She studied piano and music theory at Trinity College London . In 1993 she moved to Athens and sang for recordings and live performances by various musicians. In 2000 her debut album was released. The ballad Vale Mousiki , written by Michalis Hatzigiannis , was a great success in 2003. Hatzigiannis stayed with her as a composer and wrote other pieces for her. The Cypriot broadcaster CyBC elected Olympiou internally to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö . The Greek-language ballad An Me Thimase was chosen as the title . In the semifinals she reached place 15 out of 16 and did not make it to the final. She got her 11 points from:
