Jordan Julien Caron (born November 2, 1990 in Sayabec , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Genève-Servette HC in the Swiss National League since February 2020 and plays there in the position of right winger .
Career
Jordan Caron began his career as a hockey player with the Océanic de Rimouski , for which he was active from 2006 to 2010 in the Canadian junior league Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec . During this period, the winger was selected in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft as a total of 25th player by the Boston Bruins . First, however, he stayed in the QMHL and moved on January 8, 2010 within the league to the Huskies de Rouyn-Noranda . On March 31, 2010, the Canadian signed a three-year contract with the Boston Bruins, of which he was appointed to their NHL squad for the first time for the 2010/11 season . On October 10, 2010 he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the game of the Boston Bruins against the Phoenix Coyotes . His first NHL goal was on October 16, 2010 against the New Jersey Devils .
In March 2015, the Bruins transferred him, including a six- round vote for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, to the Colorado Avalanche , with the Bruins receiving Maxime Talbot and Paul Carey in return . In Colorado, Caron ended the season, but his contract was not extended afterwards, so he signed a new two-year contract with the St. Louis Blues in July 2015 . In October 2017 he switched to the Krefeld Pinguinen in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). In November 2018, he used an exit clause in his contract with the penguins and moved to the KHL for HK Sibir Novosibirsk . In November 2019, the Schwenninger Wild Wings announced their commitment. The engagement ended after four months with the move to the Swiss club Genève-Servette HC in February 2020.

For Canada , Caron took part in the 2010 U20 World Junior Championship . In this he won the silver medal with his team. He contributed to the success with four assists in six games.
